Wisconsin's Focus on Energy Program offers residential incentive programs designed to defray the cost of solar domestic hot water systems for homeowners who live in Focus territory.  To find out if you qualify visit Focus on Energy's website at: http://www.focusonenergy.com. 

• A cash-back reward of $25 per square foot of collector or 25% of the system cost, whichever is less, is available for qualified systems.  This reward is capped at $2,500. 
  

Federal Tax Credits are available for systems put into operation between January 1st, 2006 and December 31st, 2008.  Credits are equal to 30% of the installation cost capped at $2,000.  This is the largest federal incentive since 1985.  Speak with your tax advisor to apply for this credit.

Solar system prices and rebates are variable, based on size, availability of Focus on Energy rebates and component costs, which can vary monthly.  Rebates and tax credits will often bring down the end cost to you by as much as 50%.
