With the rise in energy costs more and more homeowners and businesses are looking for ways to reduce their energy use.  Solar hot water (SHW) systems are the most cost effective form of renewable energy currenlty available.  SHW systems can save hundreds of dollars annually on energy use.  Natural gas prices have more than tripled in the past 8 years, a financial burden that few of us can afford to shoulder.  This burden can be significantly defrayed by the installation of an SHW.  SHW systems also increase the value of a home but do not effect property tax.  Solar thermal systems operate independant of other energy systems and can prevent the release of up to 3000 pounds of greenhouse emissions per year.  The use of a SHW system offsets the approximate equivalent CO2 production of a small car.
